Give an old or well-loved piece of clothing a new life through Palestinian embroidery.
In this hands-on workshop, you will learn how to use traditional tatreez cross-stitch techniques to personalise your own clothing or fabric item. Bring along an old blouse, shirt, tote bag or another suitable non-stretch item, and transform it with a Palestinian motif and a touch of colour.
You will be guided through choosing a motif, preparing your item and stitching directly onto the fabric. This workshop is a chance to slow down, learn about the cultural heritage of Palestinian embroidery and create something personal that you can continue wearing and enjoying.
No previous embroidery experience is required.
